Pine Tree ISD will recognize three graduates as this year's 2016 recipients of the highest honor awarded to a former student of Pine Tree ISD, the Distinguished Alumni Award.  The 2016 recipients will be honored during Pine Tree's homecoming on Friday, October 7.

This year's honorees are:

Anthony Rider, Class of 1962
Anthony Rider is a former FBI Supervisory Special Agent and Chief of the Behavioral Science Unit, FBI Academy with Top Secret Security Clearance with over 27 years’ experience. He contracted as a Special Investigator for the Bureau of Diplomatic Security, the U. S Department of State and served as a consultant for the Office of Investigations, and for the Office of the Inspector General for the Los Angeles Unified School District. Anthony served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force specializing in Intelligence Operations. Anthony earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology/Police Science and a Master of Law Enforcement from Sam Houston State University. Anthony currently resided in retirement in California with his wife Ruth. They have three adult daughters and spend time with the family, including their grandchildren.

Robin Hardwicke, Class of 1986
Robin L. Hardwicke, PhD. RN, FNP-C, AACRN is a Professor of General Internal Medicine and Obstetrics/Gynecology-Maternal Fetal Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Robin earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Tyler and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX.  Robin received her Doctorate in Philosophy of Science from Texas Woman’s University with her Dissertation “HIV Testing within Emergency Departments: A Descriptive Study Assessing Barriers and Potential Solutions” Robin manages the HIV-infected pregnant women represented in UT outpatient and inpatient settings. Her research effort at UT focus on the area of HIV/AIDS. Robin serves on many professional boards, focusing on education, at the local and national levels and serves as a mentor for residents and their research.  Robin has numerous local, national and international publications and abstracts along with multiple awards.

Jeff Glover, Class of 1987

Jeff Glover has established a successful Chick-Fil-A franchise in Northwest Austin. Jeff developed a service model for both the indoor and outdoor customer experience that has been adopted by the Chick-Fil-A chain and laid the ground work for the Chick-Fil-A One App. Jeff begin his career under Longview’s Chick-Fil-A franchise owner, Chuck King.  When it became apparent the Chick-Fil-A restaurant needed to expand, resulting in being closed for five months, Jeff made the decision to continue to pay his entire staff and give them a $1 per hour raise for staying with him.  Jeff has lead two Work to Life trips to Uganda, established a medical clinic and built homes for HIV/AIDS children at the Cherish Uganda site.  He co-led a construction facilitated planning trip to a Mexican orphanage and is a Children Ministry Worship Leader at Lake Hills Church in Austin, TX. Jeff earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University. Jeff has been married to his wife Steffany for 22 years and they have two daughters.
