Pine Tree ISD Accepting Applications for Community U

Pine Tree ISD is now accepting applications for the 2016-2017 Community U. 

Community U, established in 2012, is an eight month educational learning opportunity that provides a personalized, firsthand look at how the district operates and all the great opportunities provided for PTISD students. 

Community U class meets eight times with each session focusing on a single topic. Participants will visit district campuses and departments and will learn all aspects of public education including:
 

Teaching and Learning
Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment
School Finance
Personnel Selection and Recruitment
Tours of Facilities and Campuses
District Special Programs and Special Services
Community Partnerships/Education Foundation

Community U Session dates are October 14, November 11, December 16, January 13, February 10, March 10, April 21 and May 8 (Graduation).

Each class session is from 8:30 a.m. -2:00 p.m.

Enrollment is open to any parent, business leader, and/or community member in Pine Tree ISD.

information.  Application deadline is September 16, 2016

The 2016-2017 Community U year will begin October 14.
