Cheryl Crafton, Science Teacher at Pine Tree High School ExCEL campus, was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow at the Longview Greggton Rotary's weekly meeting on February 12. Crafton was recognized for her outstanding contributions to the district as sponsor of the Interact Club. PTHS Interact Club participates in the City-wide Green and Clean and assists with the district's Backpack Food Program.
Crafton, employed at PTISD since 2007, holds Bachelors degrees in Chemistry and Secondary Science Education. This is her 16th year of teaching.
The Paul Harris Fellow was established in 1957 to show appreciation for and encourage substantial contributions to what was then the Foundation's only program, Rotary Foundation Fellowships for Advanced Study, the precursor to Ambassadorial Scholarships.
