PTHS STUDENTS RECOGNIZED AS NATIONAL MERIT COMMENDED STUDENTS

Four Pine Tree High School students have been recognized as commended students in the 2016 National Merit program.

Andrea K. Jenkins, James D. McNaney, Arya S. Reddy and Jerry Zhang, seniors at Pine Tree High School, have been recognized as 2016 National Merit commended students.  Each of these students will be recognized at the October 30 Pine Tree Senior Night football game.

Congratulations Andrea, James, Arya and Jerry!

The National Merit® Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955. High school students enter the National Merit Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®)—a test which serves as an initial screen of approximately 1.5 million entrants each year—and by meeting published program entry and participation requirements.
