Pine Tree Junior High Named No Place for Hate Campus

Pine Tree Junior High has been named a No Place for Hate campus by the No Place for Hate program.  The campus was presented with a No Place for Hate banner at the Junior High honors program on May 19.

Pine Tree Junior High participated in three activities during the 2014-2015 school year to receive this award.  PTJH presented The Tiny Girl , Big Dreams speaker presentation, created a MIx-It-Up lunch for students and established an anti-bullying poster campaign where students were asked to design a poster encouraging others to intervene when confronted with instances of bullying behavior or stereotypes.

No Place for Hate was developed to organize schools to work together and develop projects that enhance the appreciation of diversity and foster harmony amongst diverse groups.  The campaign empowers schools to promote respect for individual and group differences while challenging prejudice and bigotry.
