Pine Tree High School Theatre is proud to announce the second public performance of their UIL One Act Play Tartuffe.
Moliere wrote Tartuffe, originally entitled Tartuffe the Imposter in 1664. In the play, Orgon, a wealthy Parisian patriarch falls under the influence of a self-righteous hypocrite named Tartuffe. Orgon becomes obsessed with Tartuffe and the religious ideals the trickster supposedly stands for.
A comedy in five acts, the PTHS department has condensed this play to the 40 minutes required of UIL One Act Play competition.
The play will be performed Thursday, April 16 at 7:00 p.m. in the Pine Tree High School Theatre on the PTHS campus. Tickets are free for current season ticket holders. Ticket price is $3 for students/faculty and $5 general admission.
